Post Valentine's Day Massacre!

The Sexy Side of Violence

Raise your hands if you have a date for Valentine's Day.  Good, put them down.  Now raise your hands if you want to punch all those people in the face.   Excellent, this Jam is for everyone who just raised their hands.

Valentine's is a time when we all turn our thoughts to romance from time to time.   The Scrappers thought that it would be an excellent time to hone all that sensual energy and sexual frustration and yes sensually sexually frustrated energy to ask, 'Why is fighting so damn sexy??"

To answer this and questions about the link between violence and sex we will be exploring what makes a fight scene sexy its similar naturalistic rhythms to dancing and love making, the close spacial relationships that both violence and sex require, and the concepts of dealing with vulnerability and mortality.

So join us for some sexy-ass ass-kicking.

Remember, if you're wondering if Fight Jam is for you, IT IS!

Fight Jam is OPEN TO EVERYONE and

 always FREE!!!
(But small donations towards space rental are always appreciated!)

All experience levels are welcome, from those who have never had a stage combat or fight class to choreographers and fighters with years of experience. We strive to structure Fight Jam in a way that everyone can learn and challenge themselves on there own level, and always have a great time.

Including many levels of experience allows choreographers a chance to come work with a pool of fighters, and new and old fighters a chance to learn technique and style from a myriad of choreographers while everyone is introduced together to a concept by the presenter.

Bring clothes that you can move in and a bottle of water.

Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions, and we can't wait to see you at the Jam!
